  • FOCUS Friday 3 dug deeper into the importance of the ACT, how to calculate the students GPA, and what community services the student would like to do to help their school and get their hours needed. The students also finished up looking at different careers he or she would enjoy and would like to pursue once out of high school. The knowledge these students are building during every one of these activities is helping them grow in most every aspect needed to proceed in their pursuit of success.

    ACT Scavenger Hunt- The students were given a list of items to find in the ACT booklet. How long each section test was, what test are in the ACT, and other important aspects of this test students needed to know.

    Calculating Your GPA- The students learned the importance of their GPA and how to calculate it.

    Community Service- As a group, the students along with their advisor, thought of community service ideas they would enjoy being apart of.

    Tour of the AG barn- the students were taken on a tour of the Agriculture Barn at the high school and were talked to about the opportunities being apart of that would bring.
